Awning fabric needs a gentle hand. Carefree of Colorado's care guide says to use a natural soap rather than detergent, keep the water under 100 degrees, air dry only, and always let the fabric dry thoroughly before rolling it up, because mildew can be a problem where heat and humidity are common. Arizona's monsoon brings both, so we clean the fabric and arms and make sure everything is dry before the awning goes back in.
Storage bays are where the dust collects after a season of hoses, chairs and tools going in and out. We empty the bays if you want, vacuum and wipe them down, clean the bay doors inside and out, and check that the door seals are clean and seated. It is a small job that makes a rig feel newer, and it pairs well with a full wash and wax when you are getting ready to hit the road.
